• Adds Section 27-7-5.2 to Alabama Code establishing licensing requirements and regulations for limited lines travel insurance producers and travel retailers.

• Permits travel retailers to offer and disseminate travel insurance on behalf of licensed travel insurance producers, provided the producer is clearly identified and specific conditions are met.

• Requires travel insurance producers to maintain an annually updated register of travel retailers, designate a responsible producer for compliance oversight, and ensure employee training on insurance types, ethical sales practices, and required disclosures.

• Prohibits unlicensed travel retailer employees from evaluating insurance terms, providing coverage advice, or representing themselves as insurance experts; limits their activities to providing general information about coverage and price.

• Amends Sections 27-7-1 and 27-7-14.1 to add travel insurance as a defined limited lines insurance category and update relevant definitions and authority classifications.
