• Allows property and casualty insurers to mail, deliver, or post insurance policies and endorsements on their website if the documents do not contain personally identifiable information.

• Requires insurers posting policies online to keep them easily accessible while the policy is in force and archive expired policies for five years upon request.

• Mandates that online policies be formatted to enable policyholders to print and save documents using widely available, free Internet programs or applications.

• Requires insurers to provide policyholders with a description of purchased policy forms, instructions on obtaining a free paper copy within 30 days of request, and the Internet address where policies are posted.

• Applies to all policies issued or renewed after the effective date of the act, which becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
