• Amends Section 35-8B-1 of the Alabama Code to address alcoholic beverage sales in community development districts that undergo municipal annexation or incorporation.

• When a municipality annexes territory containing a community development district, the district territory remains designated as "wet" (allowing alcohol sales) regardless of the municipality's prior status.

• When a community development district is incorporated as a municipality, the district territory remains wet and the governing body of the new municipality may choose whether remaining portions shall be wet.

• Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
