• The Sheriff of Monroe County shall receive an additional $10,000 per year expense allowance, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

• The expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and benefits the sheriff receives and may be treated as compensation for retirement contribution purposes.

• Beginning with the next term of office, the expense allowance shall become additional compensation for the sheriff and the original expense allowance designation shall be null and void.

• The act becomes effective on October 1, 2013.
