Tax assessor, tax collector, and judge of probate in Wilcox County shall assist the county commission in collecting solid waste fees upon request.

Solid waste fee amounts shall be included in ad valorem tax bills and motor vehicle license plate renewal notices, with collection occurring when those payments are made.

Wilcox County Commission may authorize these officials to retain a portion of collected solid waste fees as an administrative fee to cover collection costs.

Net solid waste fees collected by the tax collector or judge of probate shall be forwarded to the Wilcox County Commission as determined by written agreement between the parties.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
