Authorizes the Municipal Court of the City of Irondale in Jefferson County to assess a prisoner transport fee against defendants for expenses incurred transporting them on misdemeanor warrants from other jails or detention facilities to Irondale's municipal jail.

Fee may only be assessed when a defendant is adjudicated guilty or pleads guilty on or after the effective date, and is collected as court costs and other fees.

Transport fee applies only when the defendant is required from outside Irondale's police jurisdiction but within Alabama, based on round-trip distance: less than 39 miles ($100), 40-99 miles ($200), 100-200 miles ($250), or greater than 200 miles ($300).

All fees collected shall be deposited into the City of Irondale General Fund and allocated in conformity with Section 11-47-7.1 of the Code of Alabama 1975.

Act became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor, with the House passing it on May 2, 2013 and the Senate on May 20, 2013.
