Extends tort liability immunity to firefighter paramedics and firefighter emergency medical technicians licensed by Alabama and employed by the state, county, or municipality while operating on-duty in direct support of tactical law enforcement units.

Defines "tactical medic" as a licensed firefighter paramedic or firefighter emergency medical technician providing medical services, contingency planning, operational weapon support, teacher health management, training, education, medical equipment acquisition, and maintenance to tactical law enforcement units.

Grants tactical medics the same immunity from tort liability as peace officers for conduct performed within the line and scope of law enforcement duties.

Excludes immunity protection for private non-governmental employers of firefighter paramedics, firefighter emergency medical technicians, or peace officers during off-duty hours; requires such private employers to maintain at least $100,000 in liability insurance.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
