HB 83 Summary

• Property Inventory Control Division must develop and maintain a searchable inventory database of all state personal property for each state department or agency.

• Database must be searchable by department or agency name, county location, property description, and date property was placed in inventory.

• Database must be updated monthly and made available on the State Auditor's Office website with a link from the official State of Alabama website.

• Each state department or agency is responsible for updating property records in the Statewide Property Management System to ensure database accuracy and currency.

• Act becomes effective January 1, 2014.
