Commends Donald Lee Giles on being named 2011 City of Clanton Officer of the Year by Chief Brian A. Stilwell.

Officer of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievement that brings credit to the department, with selection criteria including leadership, attendance, productivity, judgment, decisiveness, and sensitivity.

Officer Giles began his law enforcement career with the Chilton County Sheriff's Office as a reserve deputy in 1991, graduated from the Jefferson County Reserve Academy in 2000, and previously served the Town of Maplesville and City of Jemison.

Joined the Clanton Police Department in 2002 and is assigned to the Patrol Division and K-9 Unit with his canine partner "Tiger."

The Alabama Legislature honors and commends Officer Giles for over 10 years of faithful service to Chilton County citizens with honor and integrity.
