House Joint Resolution mourning the death of Reverend Edward Murphy Mosley, Sr.

Reverend Mosley was born July 21, 1936, in Dixon Mills, Alabama and served 21 years in the United States Army, including three tours of combat duty in Vietnam and three tours of duty in Korea as a Field Artillery Specialist.

He became a 32nd degree Mason and was called into the Ministry in 1976, serving as pastor of New Salem Baptist Church in Pine Hill, Alabama and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Lower Peachtree, Alabama, while also pastoring churches in other counties.

He established Mosley's Funeral Home in Dixon Mills, Alabama on September 8, 1981, and provided 31 years of professional service in the mortuary business.

Survivors include his wife Betty Joyce Mosley, five children, one devoted son, 13 grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.
