Commends Brenda Coone for 25 years of distinguished service to the State of Alabama, beginning her career with the Department of Revenue on February 1, 1988.

Recognizes her promotion to Director of the Motor Vehicle Division on January 16, 2007, where she provides leadership for up to 113 state employees in administering state motor vehicle laws and regulations.

Credits Coone with implementing multiple technological innovations that streamlined the motor vehicle licensing process and saved Alabama millions of dollars, including digital license plates, Electronic Title Application Process, IFTA eFile process, and Online Insurance Verification System.

Acknowledges her ability to maintain exceptional customer service and motivate a team of 81 employees despite a 30 percent reduction in staff positions over recent years.

Honored and commended by both houses of the Alabama Legislature for her character, commitment, and outstanding service to the State of Alabama and its licensing officials.
