Designates May 3, 2013, as Gordon Moulton Day in the State of Alabama to recognize his professional achievements and service to the University of South Alabama.

Acknowledges Gordon Moulton's more than 46 years of service to USA, including roles as director of computer center, founding dean of the School of Computing, vice president for services and planning, and university president for the past 15 years.

Recognizes accomplishments under his leadership including enrollment of more than 15,000 students, 75,000 degrees awarded, 250,000 annual patients treated by USA Health System, and $500 million in campus construction and improvements.

Notes the Moultons' philanthropic contributions exceeding $7 million to institutional priorities including the Mitchell Cancer Institute, Bell Tower and Alumni Plaza, and student scholarships.

Honors his retirement from the University effective July 1, 2013, and directs a copy of the resolution be provided to him as evidence of the esteem in which he is held.
