HJR 353 Summary

• Continues the Alabama Task Force on Homeowners Associations originally created by Act 2012-25 in the 2012 Regular Session.

• Designates four priority areas for the task force to study: registration of homeowner associations, disclosures by associations and officers, obligations of associations to the state and homeowners, and enforcement provisions.

• Requires the task force to report findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Speaker of the House and Lieutenant Governor no later than the 10th legislative day of the 2014 Regular Session.

• Task force is dissolved and discharged of further duties upon submission of its 2014 report.
