Recognizes the Office of Constable as the oldest law enforcement office in world history and a vital part of Alabama law enforcement since the state's founding.

Notes that existing Constables operate without any cost to the State of Alabama and already provide valuable assistance to law enforcement agencies in their respective areas.

Identifies potential expanded uses for Constables including community watch, litter control, school traffic assistance, and support to regular law enforcement agencies.

Directs the Legislature to join with County Commissions, District Attorneys, Sheriffs, and Law Enforcement Agencies to develop better ways of utilizing Constables.

Requires a copy of the resolution be provided to the Alabama Constables Association with best wishes for success.
