Recognizes March 11, 2013, as World Plumbing Day in Alabama to highlight the important role of the plumbing industry and licensed professionals.

Acknowledges that the World Plumbing Council and International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) protect public health and safety through uniform plumbing and mechanical codes.

Notes that 1.1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe water supplies, 2.6 billion lack healthy sanitation systems, and 3.1 million children die annually from water-related diseases.

Recognizes that global events will be held on World Plumbing Day in locations including Australia, India, New Zealand, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
