Urges the President of the United States and Congress to take immediate action to eliminate the threat of sequestration through a balanced, bi-partisan approach to federal budget issues.

States the aerospace and defense industry supports more than 3.5 million middle class jobs with over 30,000 suppliers across all 50 states and is a critical driver of the national economy.

Asserts that automatic spending cuts without serious consideration will trigger negative consequences for national security and the economic health of communities dependent on aerospace and defense employment.

Directs copies of this resolution be provided to the President of the United States and to the Alabama Congressional Delegation.
