House of Representatives mourns the death of Mrs. Clara Sue Clanton of Vernon, Alabama, who died on January 14, 2013, at age 59.

Mrs. Clanton was born May 25, 1953, in Lamar County, Alabama, to Jack and Helene McLemore and worked as a garment plant seamstress.

Survivors include her husband Lloyd Clanton, son Kevin Clanton, parents, brother Larry McLemore, two nephews, three nieces, and sister-in-law Shirley McLemore; she was preceded in death by brother Jackie McLemore.

House of Representatives offers this resolution in tribute to Mrs. Clanton's legacy and extends heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.
