Mrs. Florence Catledge of Montgomery, Alabama, died on February 23, 2013, at age 71.

She was born July 2, 1941, and held a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alabama State University and Master's Degree in Education from Cleveland State University.

She dedicated 33 years to educating at-risk youth in the Cleveland Public School System and served as Administrator/Principal with significant accomplishments.

She established the New Beginnings Educational Center with her husband in 2003, offering after-school tutoring, GED assistance, holiday basket programs, toy giveaways, and summer camps for grades K-8.

The House of Representatives records her death with deep sadness and offers this tribute to her life and legacy of impacting countless lives with exceptional skills and generosity.
