Mourns the death of Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff Dwayne Lin King, who died on February 26, 2013, at age 52.

Records that Deputy King served as an LPN Medical Assistant in the United States Army and was appointed Medical Assistant for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on May 30, 1989, before becoming Deputy Sheriff on May 20, 2000.

Recognizes his Medal of Merit award in September 2003 for saving the life of a deputy with life-threatening gunshot wounds and his service as a trained Sketch Artist for Exploited and Missing Children with an Associate's Degree in Commercial Art.

Notes that Deputy King is survived by his wife Christie (married 13 years), three children (Leiloni Ann, Dwayne Lin Jr., and Stephanie Leigh), his mother, and three brothers; he was predeceased by son Stephen.
