HR207 - Mourning the Death of Mr. L.V. Hall

• Mr. L.V. Hall of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, died on March 11, 2013, at the age of 82 years.
• Mr. Hall was born on October 30, 1930, and was a civil rights activist, political activist, and advocate for programs benefiting underprivileged children.
• Mr. Hall served as a member of the Board of Deacons at First African Baptist Church for more than 40 years and was an avid supporter of the Benjamin Barnes YMCA, which inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2012.
• Mr. Hall worked at S.H. Kress Department Store in downtown Tuscaloosa and operated a shoe shop for several years; he was known for his knowledge of Tuscaloosa history and served as an unofficial city ambassador.
• The Alabama House of Representatives records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution in admiration and appreciation of his dedicated service to mankind.
