Congratulates Mr. and Mrs. James Bearden, Sr., of Huntsville, Alabama, on celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary on February 27, 2013.

James and Georgia Bearden were married on February 17, 1955, at Lakeside United Methodist Church, where they have been lifelong members.

The couple has three children (James Jr., Deborah So'Brien, and Rosetta Bearden), four grandchildren, and four foster grandchildren.

Mr. Bearden is retired from IBM and Mrs. Bearden is retired from Huntsville Housing Authority; they celebrated their anniversary by attending President Barack Obama's inauguration and receiving a spa treatment from their children.

The House of Representatives honors and commends the Beardens for their marriage built on faith in God, trust, and daily expressions of love, with best wishes for continued happiness.
