Mourns the death of Mr. James L. Lynn, who died on April 4, 2013, at age 78.

Mr. Lynn was born in Abbeville, Alabama on November 16, 1934, served in the United States Army, and worked as a paint contractor for the NYC Housing Authority for 10 years before becoming a successful businessman and property owner.

He returned to his hometown in 1987 and rejoined Union Grove Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and led modernization efforts.

Survivors include his wife Mattie P. Lynn; daughters Felecia Yvette Lynn and Gwendolyn Lynn; multiple sisters and brothers; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The Alabama House of Representatives honors his memory and extends sympathy to his family.
