House of Representatives recognizes Deputy Jacob Bradley of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office as a nominee for the 2013 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On December 23, 2012, Deputy Bradley hiked approximately one half mile up a mountain to locate a missing six-year-old child with special needs who was non-verbal.

Deputy Bradley found the child tangled in vines near a steep drop-off, carried her down the mountain to waiting paramedics, and the child was unharmed.

Deputy Bradley's commitment and fortitude helped save the child's life and exemplifies the dedication of law enforcement professionals responding to crises.

The resolution directs that Deputy Bradley receive a copy as evidence of the House's admiration and esteem.
