Commends the 2013 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program staff in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama for their generous donation of services.

VITA program operates as a national effort to assist residents in claiming Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit benefits and to advise qualified citizens in preparing and filing tax returns.

Program has been operational in Madison County since 2003 and provides free services to low and moderate income families, legal immigrants, and disabled individuals.

Names 19 tax preparers, 3 screeners/greeters, and 2 site coordinators who staffed the 2013 program for recognition of their volunteer service.

House of Representatives offers sincere gratitude to the volunteers for sharing their time and talent to help others in the state.
