Recognizes Wenonah High School senior De'Runnya Wilson for being selected as Mr. Basketball and 5A Player of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association and the Alabama Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.

Honors Wilson's accomplishments including winning three consecutive Class 5A State Championships, earning more than 1,500 career points and 1,500 rebounds, averaging 18.4 points and 15.8 rebounds per game during his senior season, and being selected as a member of the Super 5.

Notes that Wilson signed with Mississippi State in February with plans to play both football and basketball, and performed as a playmaking receiver in football.

Commends Wilson for bringing honor to his school, family, and community through his athletic achievements and extends best wishes for his future endeavors.
