Commends Sarah Patterson on being named Tuscaloosa County Citizen of the Year by the Tuscaloosa Civitan Club and Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on April 24, 2013.

Recognizes Patterson as Gymnastics Coach for the University of Alabama for 35 years and notes she has coached six NCAA Championship Gymnastics Teams since 1978.

Highlights her volunteer work at local soup kitchens and with the Rise program for early childhood special education, as well as her involvement in tornado relief efforts in April 2011.

Acknowledges her leadership in the battle against breast cancer through the Power of Pink initiative, which has raised more than $1.35 million for the DCH Breast Cancer Fund.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to Patterson with congratulations and best wishes for the future.
