Mourns the death of Mr. William H. "Billy" Henderson of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who lived 89 years and was a highly regarded community member.

Recognizes Henderson's athletic achievements including 1943 All-State Football Team honors, All-Southern Conference and Honorable Mention All-American football honors at the Citadel in 1947, and drafting by the Chicago Bears.

Honors his 50+ year career refereeing football and basketball and umpiring baseball, and his coaching accomplishments including state championships in basketball and football at Tuscaloosa High School and a national baseball championship in 1952.

Acknowledges his honors including Alabama High School Coach of the Year (1964), induction into Tuscaloosa High School Hall of Fame (1969), Tuscaloosa Softball Hall of Fame (1988), and Alabama High School Coaches Hall of Fame (1994).

Lists survivors including his wife of 68 years Gene K. Henderson, four children, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other family members, while expressing gratitude for his legacy and offering sympathy to his family.
