Recognizes the USS Maddox Association Reunion scheduled for September 12-15, 2013, in Mobile, Alabama with highest commendations.

Honors the crews who served on three USS Maddox vessels: DW-168, DD-622 (Livermore Class Destroyer), and DD-731 (Sumner Class Destroyer), named after Captain William Alfred Maddox.

Acknowledges USS Maddox DD-622 received two battle stars for World War II service and USS Maddox DD-731 received four battle stars for World War II, six for the Korean War, the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for Vietnam service.

Commends the USS Maddox Association and all who served on the USS Maddox for their determination, sacrifice, courage, and professionalism in defense of freedom and democracy.

Extends sincere best wishes for all future endeavors of the USS Maddox Association.
