Congratulates the Brantley High School Girls Basketball Team for winning the 2013 Class 1A State Championship of the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Keith High School 53-42 on March 1, 2013, in Birmingham to secure the first girls state championship in school history.

Amahni Upshaw was named tournament Most Valuable Player, and Raven Davis and Erica Daniels were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The team finished the season with a record of 25-6 under the leadership of Head Coach Andrew Kilcrease and Assistant Coach Johnny Young.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to Brantley High School for appropriate display.
