Commends Brenda Coone for 25 years of distinguished service with the State of Alabama Department of Revenue, beginning February 1, 1988.

Recognizes her promotion to Director of the Motor Vehicle Division on January 16, 2007, where she has provided leadership to up to 113 state employees while maintaining a team of 81 members despite approximately 30 percent staff reductions.

Credits her with implementing multiple technology-driven initiatives that streamlined motor vehicle licensing and saved millions in state tax revenue, including digital license plates, electronic title application process, IFTA eFile process, online driver license verification, and online insurance verification system.

Acknowledges her continued modernization of the motor vehicle licensing process and availability for conferences and educational seminars with county licensing officials.

Honors her character, commitment, and distinguished service to the State of Alabama and all Licensing Officials.
