Hunter Richard Brantley attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, and received his award in a Court of Honor ceremony on January 13, 2013, as a member of Troop 4, Central Alabama Council.

His Eagle Scout project involved constructing outdoor stairs linking different levels of a parking lot at Vestavia Hills High School.

Brantley earned this rank through countless hours of hard work, diligence, and perseverance to complete required community service and fulfill stringent Eagle Scout criteria, while also serving in leadership positions and receiving multiple Scouting awards.

The House of Representatives congratulates and commends Brantley for exemplifying Scouting's attributes of self-discipline, self-reliance, good citizenship, devotion to duty, and concern for others, noting he is an outstanding student who participates in extracurricular activities and volunteers in community causes.
