Exempts church-owned buildings greater than 12,000 square feet from Section 903 of the International Fire Code and National Fire Protection Association Code 909 after a state or federal disaster declaration if the church hosts volunteers responding to the disaster.

Exemption applies only when all volunteers housed in the building are 18 years of age or older.

Exemption period lasts for the duration of the disaster but cannot exceed three years.

Defines "church" as persons who have made a public confession of religion and are associated together by a covenant of church fellowship for worshiping and spiritual welfare purposes.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
