AL SB311

Authorizes the sale of alcoholic beverages every day of the week within the City of Weaver by properly licensed clubs and retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, subject to majority approval by the city's governing body.

Permits both on-premises consumption (bars, clubs) and off-premises consumption (package stores) of alcoholic beverages seven days a week if approved by a majority vote of the governing body.

Grants the city's governing body authority to regulate, but not prohibit, the sale of alcoholic beverages by licensed clubs and retail licensees, with all sales subject to license requirements and board regulations.

Establishes that this legislation is cumulative and supplemental to existing city powers and does not repeal any current authority under state general law or local special acts.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
