• Amends Alabama Code Sections 13A-12-22, 13A-12-23, and 13A-12-27 to enhance penalties for gambling crimes when defendant profits exceed $10,000.

• Increases penalty for promoting gambling from Class A misdemeanor to Class C felony if profits exceed $10,000.

• Increases penalty for conspiracy to promote gambling from Class A misdemeanor to Class C felony if profits exceed $10,000.

• Increases penalty for possession of a gambling device from Class A misdemeanor to Class C felony if profits exceed $10,000.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
