AL SB455

Requires governmental agencies, boards, commissions, authorities, or other political subdivisions of Alabama receiving real property from another state governmental entity via intergovernmental transfer to publish notice of the proposed transfer for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the county where the receiving entity is located.

Prohibits the receiving governmental entity from taking title to the real property until the two-week newspaper notice requirement is satisfied.

Known as the State Lands Transparency Act.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
