SB475 Summary

• Board of adjustment membership in Class 2 municipalities shall equal the number of governing body members, pursuant to Section 11-52-80, Code of Alabama 1975.
• Board members are appointed by the governing body of the Class 2 municipality.
• Five concurring votes are required to reverse an administrative official's order or decision, or to decide in favor of an applicant on matters within board jurisdiction.
• The board may reverse, affirm, or modify appealed orders and has all powers of the officer from whom the appeal is taken.
• Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
