• Applies exclusively to the City of Talladega in Talladega County and authorizes a municipal election to determine voter approval for Sunday alcoholic beverage sales.

• The city governing body may call an election within 30 days of the act's effective date, with at least three weeks' notice required before the election and costs paid from the city's general fund.

• If a majority votes "Yes," licensed alcoholic beverage retailers may legally sell or dispense alcohol on Sundays after 12:00 P.M. (noon) or after 8:00 A.M. on Sundays with major racing events at the Talladega Superspeedway, subject to applicable laws and city ordinances.

• If a majority votes "No," alcohol sales remain prohibited on Sundays after 2:00 A.M., except as authorized by law or a subsequent election legalizing Sunday sales.

• The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor and does not repeal any existing city powers or authorities.
