• Applies only to the City of Sylacauga in Talladega County and authorizes a municipal election on Sunday alcohol sales.

• City governing body may call an election within 30 days of the act's effective date to determine voter sentiment on allowing alcohol sales on Sunday after 12:00 P.M. (noon) or after 8:00 A.M. on Sundays with major racing events at Talladega Superspeedway.

• If a majority of voters approve, properly licensed alcoholic beverage licensees serving the general public may sell alcohol on Sunday during specified hours; the municipality may regulate Sunday sales by ordinance.

• If voters reject the measure, alcohol sales remain prohibited on Sunday after 2:00 A.M. except as otherwise authorized by law or future election.

• The City of Sylacauga must pay all election costs and provide notice to voters at least three weeks before the election by publication or posting at city hall.
