Encourages creation of a Southeastern United States-South Korean Economic Council to promote trade, economic, and workforce relationships between the region and South Korea.

South Korean companies have generated approximately $20 billion in annual cash flow to the Southeast, with Alabama employers providing $1.5 billion annually in compensation to approximately 20,000 directly employed Alabamians at an average salary of $77,722.

Council objectives include supporting cooperation between the Southeast and South Korea for mutual economic benefit, retaining existing businesses, and encouraging cultural and educational exchange.

Designates the Lieutenant Governor as initial council chair to host an organizational meeting coordinated with the Southeastern Legislative Conference, and the state Secretary of Commerce as vice chair.
