Designates February 21, 2013, as Alabama Suicide Prevention Awareness Day.

Acknowledges the Alabama Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention won the Education Award for the third consecutive year and Chapter of the Year for the fourth consecutive year at the Suicide Prevention National Convention.

Notes the Alabama Chapter placed sixth out of 280 chapters in the Out of the Darkness Walk, raising over $158,000.

Recognizes that suicide takes the life of a veteran every 90 minutes and an active duty soldier every day.

Encourages all Alabama citizens to participate in defeating suicide through education, treatment, and counseling for untreated depression and mental illness.
