• Recognizes the 21st Annual Delta Day at the Alabama State Capitol on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, and commends Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

• Acknowledges Delta Sigma Theta's founding on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University, with current membership exceeding 250,000 women in more than 1,000 chapters throughout the United States and abroad.

• Highlights the sorority's Five Point Program focusing on Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

• Honors Delta Sigma Theta members who have served in the Alabama Legislature and notable members including Dr. Regina Benjamin (U.S. Surgeon General confirmed October 29, 2009) and Reverend Gwendolyn E. Boyd (22nd National President).

• Commends the organization for significant contributions to educational, civic, and social advancement of young women and their communities.
