• Recognizes February 27, 2013, as Turkish American Day at the Alabama Capitol.

• Acknowledges the Republic of Turkey and the United States as long-standing allies sharing universal values of freedom, democracy, and human rights.

• Commends Turkish-American organizations including the Turkic American Federation of Southeast (TAFSE), Turkish American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast (TACC), Istanbul Cultural Center, and Peace Valley Foundation for contributions to Alabama's cultural diversity, economic well-being, and disaster relief efforts.

• Recognizes Turkish-American community programs including festivals, art exhibits, music and dance performances, and cooking classes that promote cultural understanding between Turkish-Americans and Alabamians.

• Adopted by the Senate on February 14, 2013, and by the House on February 26, 2013.
