AL SJR39

Expands the Constitutional Revision Commission membership by at least two additional persons: one appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and one by the Speaker of the House.

Allows the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House to jointly appoint additional commission members as deemed appropriate to enhance diversity.

Requires the commission composition to reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of Alabama.

Permits the Governor, Speaker of the House, and President Pro Tempore of the Senate to each designate a person to attend commission meetings in their absence.

Extends the commission's existence beyond 2014 if necessary to complete review of all required articles under Act 2011-197, with automatic dissolution upon completion of duties.
