Urges the Alabama Interagency Council for the Prevention of Elder Abuse to establish and implement a long range plan to prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Identifies that thousands of Alabama senior citizens are victims of abuse including physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, financial exploitation, neglect, isolation, and abandonment.

Notes that thousands of elder abuse cases remain unreported, uninvestigated, and unresolved each year in Alabama.

States there is currently no long range plan in place to prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Declares an urgent and substantial need for a statewide comprehensive plan to protect individuals at risk of elder abuse.
