HB19 Summary

• Requires the Property Inventory Control Division to develop and maintain a searchable inventory database of all state personal property for each department or agency.

• Database shall be searchable by department/agency name, county location, property description, and date property was placed in inventory.

• Database must be updated monthly and made publicly available through a link on the official State of Alabama website and the State Auditor's Office website.

• Each state department or agency is responsible for updating property records in the Statewide Property Management System to ensure database accuracy and currency.

• Effective date: January 1, 2015.
