HB211 Summary

• Establishes a "100 Percent Disabled Military Veteran's Appreciation Hunting License" for U.S. military veterans certified by the Veterans' Administration as 100 percent service-connected, permanently and totally disabled, effective September 1, 2014.

• Disabled veteran hunting license costs $2 plus an applicable issuance fee, subject to adjustment under Section 9-11-68.

• Maintains existing "Physically Disabled Military Veteran's Appreciation Hunting License" for veterans certified as 50 percent or more physically disabled at one-half the cost of a standard annual resident all-game hunting license, effective September 1, 2013.

• License holders receive all privileges of the wildlife heritage license and can voluntarily donate an additional $1 to the Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries for wildlife research.

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
