• Amends Section 12-2-19 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to delete the requirement that Supreme Court rules of practice and procedure be published in the Acts of Alabama.

• Supreme Court rules will continue to be filed with the Clerk of the Supreme Court, published in the official report of decisions, and certified to the Secretary of State.

• Secretary of State will publish rules only in the Code of Alabama and pocket supplements to codes, eliminating the Acts of Alabama publication requirement.

• The amendment maintains all other existing publication and certification procedures for court rules related to administration, justice information disclosure, court security, and indigent defense attorney appointment standards.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
