• Increases maximum funeral, cremation, or burial expense reimbursement from $5,000 to $7,000 for crime victims under Alabama's Crime Victims Compensation program.

• Raises weekly compensation limit for work loss, replacement services loss, and dependent's economic loss from $400 to $600 per week.

• Increases aggregate compensation cap payable to a victim and all claimants from $15,000 to $20,000 for economic losses resulting from injury or death.

• Adds definition of "work loss" to include income loss of offenders charged with domestic violence when the victim was residing with the offender and the offender's income was a significant source of direct support for the victim.

• Effective October 1, 2014.
