Extends the period for renewing an Alabama driver's license from 30 days to 180 days before expiration date.

Allows license renewal anytime during the 180-day pre-expiration period until three years after expiration, without examination.

Exempts active duty military members from the 180-day pre-expiration renewal requirement if they provide proof of deployment preventing renewal during that period.

Maintains a 60-day grace period after license expiration during which the license remains valid for renewal purposes.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
