Applies only to Class 1 municipalities and requires parolees and probationers with income to pay $40 per month to the municipal court for supervision and rehabilitation costs.

Fees must be paid by the fifth day of each month, beginning 30 days after the parolee or probationer obtains income, and continue until parole or probation is terminated.

Employers may deduct the fee from an employee's monthly net income with prior agreement, and over two months of non-payment constitutes grounds for parole or probation revocation.

Undue hardship exemptions may be granted case-by-case by the sentencing court (probation cases) or municipal parole board (parole cases).

Fees paid are excluded from state income tax liability, and all collected monies are deposited into the municipal court corrections fund per Alabama Code Section 11-47-7.1.
